Grantmaking

Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians, and Pacific Islanders (AANHPIs) make up over 30% of the Bay Area population. Many are newer immigrants and refugees who face poverty, isolation, limited access to healthcare, and other challenges. Despite the high level of need that exists within our community, AAPI-serving organizations receive less than 1% of foundation funding.

The Asian Pacific Fund is committed to addressing this discrepancy through our grantmaking. We support a network of 90+ affiliate nonprofits who are deeply rooted in the community and provide an array of critical services for our most vulnerable. As the needs evolve, the Fund will continue to respond to help strengthen and build a thriving AANHPI community in the Bay Area.

Our Resiliency & Recovery Fund is an initiative focused on capacity building to support and strengthen the effectiveness and future sustainability of our affiliates who have been working tirelessly serving the AAPI community since the start of the pandemic. Learn more about the initiative here.
