The widespread perception that all Asian Americans are well-educated and successful masks the struggles that many in our community face. This lack of visibility often results in diminished support and services for some of our most vulnerable. The Asian Pacific Fund supports organizations that address community needs and helps donors maximize the impact of their contributions to these important causes. Some of these needs include:

Did you know that four out of five ethnic groups that face the highest poverty rates in the Bay Area are Asian or Pacific Islander? Or that 1 in 3 Asians here speak little to no English, and face isolation and difficulty accessing basic services like healthcare or legal support? Despite the high level of need in our community, less that 1 percent of foundation funding goes to organizations serving APIs. We are committed to closing this gap.
