Battle of the Bay: Support Your Bay Area AANHPI Nonprofits
Join and support the Asian Pacific Fund’s (APF) Battle of the Bay, a friendly fundraising competition to raise crucial funds to support the APF and our network of more than 90 nonprofit affiliates serving the Bay Area Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) community.
The Battle pits Team West against Team East, and every dollar you donate helps the nonprofits in your area and support the most underserved members of our community. The team with the most donations raised at the end of the campaign on Tuesday, December 31, 2024, will also help APF receive a $20,000 donation match from two generous APF donors, further amplifying the impact of every contribution.
Join your team in the Battle! Together, we can make a lasting impact!
Team East is in the lead by about $800!

OUR PRIORITY ISSUES
- MENTAL HEALTH systems don’t work for us – Asian adults who need mental health services only receive them 25% of the time. According to the U.S. Center for Disease Control and Prevention, suicide is the 10th leading cause of death in the United States. However, among Asian Americans ages 15-24, it is the leading cause of death. And among Bay Area seniors, 66% have reported increased stress due to isolation and fear since 2020.
- INCOME INEQUALITY is the greatest among AANHPIs, with Chinese Americans at the 90th percentile earning 19 times more than those at the 10th percentile.
- Systems still don’t effectively provide LANGUAGE ACCESS despite multiple laws in place, hindering the ability of 24% of California’s AANHPIs who have limited English proficiency from accessing health care and pursuing economic security.
EVERY DONATION COUNTS AND HELPS SUPPORT OUR AANHPI COMMUNITY!
