The Asian Pacific Fund receives the 2023 APA Heritage Award from the APA Heritage Foundation
“For 30 years, the Asian Pacific Fund (APF) has played the critical role of driving resources to our community’s most pressing issues. We are proud to celebrate this milestone and look forward to many more years of building strength, leading with courage, and creating belonging for our Bay Area Asian and Pacific Islander (API) community.” – Carolyn Wang Kong, APF.
On Wednesday, May 3, 2023, our President & Executive Director, Carolyn Wang Kong, formally accepted the 2023 APA Heritage Award from the APA Heritage Foundation as part of the City and County of San Francisco’s official Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month.
The APA Heritage Awards honor organizations that have achieved significant milestones in their years of existence and impact. This year, the APF is celebrating 30 years of strengthening the API community by increasing philanthropy and supporting our safety net organizations with grants, training, and network-building. Since its founding in 1993, APF has brought visibility to the needs and opportunities in our communities and mobilized resources to increase our collective impact.
Thank you to our partners at the APA Heritage Foundation for this recognition, and congratulations to our fellow 2023 APA Heritage Awardees Angel Island Immigration Station Foundation and Japanese Cultural and Community Center of Northern California (The Center/JCCCNC), who are celebrating their 40th and 50th anniversaries, respectively.
