About Us
Mission
Our mission is to uplift Bay Area Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians, and Pacific Islanders (AANHPIs) by mobilizing resources and amplifying our voices to drive positive change and create an inclusive, thriving society.
Our Values
Impact – As we align our diverse resources, networks, expertise, and voices towards a shared goal of creating an equitable Bay Area.
Leadership – To inspire and cultivate collective leadership across public, private, community, and philanthropy sectors.
Community – We build and celebrate community by creating space to be heard and seen, cultivating a sense of belonging and empowerment that sets the foundation for our diverse communities to move in solidarity.
Service – We intentionally act to benefit the most overlooked and underserved in our greater AANHPI community.
“I like to think of the Asian Pacific Fund as a bridge that connects the diverse spectrum of AANHPIs in the Bay Area. While we celebrate the impressive success in our community, we also acknowledge the great needs, especially among newer Asian American populations. We link donors, who are appreciative of how far they’ve come on their own bridges and know the value of a helping hand, to those just beginning their journeys.”
– Emerald Yeh, Asian Pacific Fund Founding Board Member
Core Areas of Focus
- Philanthropy: We work to increase and mobilize resources from donors, corporations, and institutions to support the Bay Area’s underserved AANHPIs.
- Community: We support a network of over 90 affiliate organizations that serve AANHPIs across a wide range of needs, including senior and youth services, health and well-being, counseling, legal services, advocacy, civic engagement, and arts and culture.
- Leadership: We cultivate leadership by recognizing current and future AANHPI leaders who have succeeded and are role models for giving back and making a difference among our youth in higher education and philanthropy.
- Awareness: We bring to light emerging issues as they impact AANHPIs in the Bay Area.
