Senior Manager, Communications & Events
Pei-Un is responsible for the Fund’s communications strategy and efforts to advance the organization’s mission, vision and values. She also manages the planning and execution of events including the API Summit, the national Give In May campaign, the Chang-Lin Tien Leadership in Education Award and the Annual Gala.
Pei-Un brings experience from the nonprofit sector, working to preserve the cultural heritage of underrepresented communities while advocating in protection of their rights and for equal access to resources. She was formerly with IFIP, a global donor affinity group dedicated to Indigenous People. She also served as an Associate Director for OCA, a national Asian Pacific American advocacy organization, as a primary liaison to chapters and membership. Pei-Un holds a BA in Political Science from the University of Michigan and received her MA in International Studies with a concentration in China-US relations from the University of Denver. She currently resides in San Francisco, but will forever be a Midwest girl at heart.
