Dr. Ellen Junn is the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs at San José State University. Since arriving at San José State University in January 2012, she has worked to increase and coordinate multiple support programs to improve student learning, retention, and graduation rates, with special attention to closing the under-represented minority student graduation gap. Dr. Junn graduated cum laude from the University of Michigan with High Honors in Psychology in 1979, and earned a Ph.D. and M.A. in Cognitive and Developmental Psychology from Princeton University. She completed Harvard University’s Management Development Program in 1998.
